| I am sure one of the commentators said the winner gets £250,000 maybe they made a mistake? |

| Tuesday December 18 (7pm-12am) 1x Preliminary Round, 4x First Round 7.10pm Steve Beaton v Kyle Anderson 8.15pm Lourence Ilagan v Jamie Lewis (P) 9.00pm Wes Newton v Johnny Haines 10.00pm Mervyn King v Dean Winstanley 11.00pm Colin Osborne v Ilagan/J Lewis
Some really good matches today. Prob one of the best days so far.
I've heard a lot of hype about Kyle. Let's see how he does on the big stage. |

| Haven't heard anything about K Anderson but I think it will depend on what Beaton shows up. He usually does well on the big stage so I'm going for the Adonnis to win it.
Should at least be a few close games instead of the 3-0's that we have been getting. |

| I think the high finish Ilagan took out put Jamie off his stride.
Kyle Anderson played quite well, I am sure he will be one to watch. |

| kyle's a lot better player then that was worried that stage may have a bit of effected him but do know he can throw better and as we all know beaton is no push over and can be unpredictable on how he plays as one mintue be hitting every thing next not even the same player |

| Well he had chance there to take so it could have been a different outcome if he hit his doubles when needed. |

| I watched and both players had thier chances, unfortunately for Kyle when Steve missed so did he and finally a double was hit.
Still, Kyle did himself proud, took it to Beaton all the way. Happy to see he is giving the Q school a go, I think it will be a gret move for him indeed. |

| yeah money is a big problem for a lot of players, they should have some sort of sponsorship fund made where players can apply for aid in travelling costs etc. |

| Yeah, the money are the big issue, thats also one of the reasons why I havent played as much as I want. That and that damn injury that took me out almost a year. =/
But I think that the organisations around the world should help both younger and older players to try and develop their talent. There are many great players around the world that dont get the chance because of cashflow =/ |

| yeah his throw was a bit strange, but it works for him, which ties in with Mattstans thread about trying to alter your natural throw, just improve what you got. |

Hi Rotty I wouldnt have a clue what Robbie is doing but if he is going to Q School along with Kyle then best of lucky to him and everyone else as its a long committement. Townsey will do well but I think from what he said in FB is that he "may" be doing the DPA circuit net year first.. who knows only Andrew does as he has a family & kids, cant afford to leave them behind. At the end of the day its what the individual wants to do, spend heaps and go everywhere up and down the east cost of Australia or playing other tournaments. Some who can make it (in any country) in my opinion have 2 options.. leave and go to Q School (if they are single and can afford it) OR take up soft tip... then again that is one of the MANY options players now have. More options to do good that I had when I could play good, I am way past it now. |
