I will also be rooting for Barney with my heart but my head says Taylor gonna take him out and set up a grudge match Taylor vs Lewis final. I want to see a Barney MvG rematch. I'm praying to the dart gods that Barney stomps his A$$ after those comments. |

| MvG will need to hit his doubles quick and early against Addie.
MvG's form will be a bit much for him I think, but it all depends on how his feet are feeling. |

| will have to see it properly but, I dont think he should have made that comment.
But maybe he meant to illustrate how upset Barney was with his lack of form, could have just been a figure of speech when Barney told Taylor it, like when we say "I'm gunna kill you" if his wife was listening then if she did not know about it already then she will have been upset by it.
I want Barney to won because he is my favourite player, but I still think Taylor will edge it. I really hope I'm wrong though. |

| I picked up on that comment aswell and had one of those "thats typical" giggles to myself. I also noticed T took the board down and done the signature thing, I thought he only done this with finals boards or does his shrine to himself need more trophy's? |

| Poor Andy Hamilton, just got thumped 5-0, must have been gutted as he fancied his chances before the match, then a quick handshake and even before he could put his darts away Phil is asking him to sign the board |

| But It wasnt even a semi final board net alon a finals board How do you think that makes Hendricks feel. He didnt even bother to humiliate him which is humiliating on its own |

| I think Taylor signs every match board (if he wins) whatever round it is, not just finals, to be fair they must be worth a bit of money so it makes sense as they would probably just end up in the trash.

I'm pretty sure Andy didn't sign it. He left the stage really quick. |

| Taylor has a very good chance here. His doubles where spot on mostly. I beat players with higher avg then me because of the doubling out am better. I guess the secret is to be good at both though. |

| UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!! I'm sitting here with big pit stains from sweating so much. Complete total edge of the seat match. That had to be the best match ever televised as far as massive scoring and big outs. Simply unreal. |

| Thank god Mike was missing so many darts at double, it made it a fascinating game to watch! Thought Adie was gonna nick it there........ great darts from both! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| I was going to go to bed after the second set too, so glad I never. What an awesome match! MVG may have won very quickly if he had hit his doubles but cant believe how Lewis kept plugging away and very nearly came back to win it! One of the best matches I have ever seen! |

| On dutch television before the match MvG:
About his foot; "I am not a man of excuses, I just wanna play"
Lewis and MvG -----> No tricks, just darts!!
Maybe a lesson for some other players

| I posted a bit ago that I didn't think Barney would ever win a title if he met Taylor along the way and I stand by that as I still think deep down, Barney is beaten before he gets on the stage with Taylor. However Barney has looked a new man since the Grand Slam victory, he looks confident, I believe him when he says he is not afraid of Taylor and maybe, just maybe he could take the victory tonight. Taylor was obviously annoyed that Barney had come out and said 'bring on Phil, I wanna play him, I'm not scared of him' - Taylor's thoughts, that by saying such things mean that Barney is scared seem the word of a man that is worried, I think Taylor has a niggling doubt about tonight's game, a doubt that he hasn't felt against Barney for a long time.
My head says Taylor will win but it depends which Barney turns up, if this revamped Barney, the focused, determined Barney, the real Barney that no longer shakes his head at missed doubles, the one who shows emotion on the big stage, if he turns up tonight we could be in for a cracking match.
As for the other game, MvG vs Wade, I know a lot of people are already writing Wade off, and I also think MvG will be too good for him tonight, however Wade can really slow MvG's game down, the way, when he misses a double on the wire he leans in in disbelief, he is a totally different kind of player to Lewis, he aims with purpose, he seems more focused and may just have the game to beat MvG tonight.
Either way, I think we are in for a treat with potentially some brilliant darts coming up this evening.

| My only complaint about this tourney... A final held on a Tuesday???? Odd!! Seems like they would get more viewers if it was held on Sunday. The final will kick off mid day here in the USA. Most will be at work, etc.. Than the PDC stream doesn't have proper archives for us Americans to watch. Kind of forces us to look for streams elsewhere. I wish the PDC uploaded unedited matches for those that can't watch it live. |

| I know its Tuesday but its New Years day, a public holiday in the UK so it is treat like any old Sunday really, there will be more folks at home New Years day than on a Sunday as quite a lot work Sundays now. |

| The great words of Rebel.

| Hahaha appreciate that JD, cheers BTW if Taylor was in the right at the end he would have shared all the details with the world (as he normally does) in his interview, the fact he refused to comment, well for me it suggests he may have been in the wrong. No comment, in my experience, normally suggests an individual has done something wrong, maybe it was all Barney or maybe not but I for one will be hoping the young Dutch lad takes the title as the behavior at the end on the Taylor/ Barney match at least needs to be explained in some context to the audience, it was like something that happens in a bar or a pub after a match not on the biggest stage of them all between the 2 most prestigious players on the planet. I am not Taylor bashing but that behavior needs to be explained in one way or another as it sets a very, very poor example to young darts fans around the globe. |
