Looked like it was Taylor in a strop I agree with you Rebel ! Quote: No comment, in my experience, normally suggests an individual has done something wrong, maybe it was all Barney or maybe not but I for one will be hoping the young Dutch lad takes the title as the behavior at the end on the Taylor/ Barney match at least needs to be explained in some context to the audience, it was like something that happens in a bar or a pub after a match not on the biggest stage of them all between the 2 most prestigious players on the planet.

An awful way to end the day imo. Barney wanted to congratulate his friend Phil. Phil had other ideas. Barney looked confused at Phil actions. Shame that had to happen.

It looked like Barney was trying to congratulate Phil and hold his arm up in victory- Barney was smiling as he had Phil's hand. Phil told him to #$&@ off!! I think Barney was trying to be a good sport about the match.
Now I know why people hate the Power. Not nice, especially when he just won - he should be celebrating, not acting nasty. BOO Phil!!!!!!!!!!! Very poor sportsmanship in my opinion. Hope MVG does the same to him in the final.

Barney should not have dragged Phil back by his arm.
They shook hands, that is all that is required of both players. If Barney wants to hug someone, he has his wife.

Watching the MvG - Wade video again. Michael threw 2 triple 19's on his last turn before Wade took out 82. Than he went on a 9 dart barrage. So in total he threw 19 perfect darts on the trot!!!!
Simply unreal

It was pretty to watch.
The funny part was that he lost that set.
But was a fantastic 5 minute burst. Better than Barney at his best.

MVG was pretty amazing again.
Taylor obviously did not like that Barney had riled him by saying he was not scared of him, but there was no need for that at the end of the match. I know a handshake is all thats required but that was uncalled for and not nice to see from someone who is at that level.

It's on Sky Sports 2 at the moment - they just showed the 5th set - I'm still stunned by the 9 darter and the next leg

Great quarter and semi finals.
I am not a Lewis fan, but was impressed by Lewis with his game. Showed that he is truly a great player and champion.
Just a shame about Taylor again at the end of his semi, but he was rattled by Barney. It just shows he is a bad sport.
Hope MVG wins the final and gives it to Taylor. Then he will have to eat humble pie, smile and watch MVG pick up the Sid Waddell trophy!

I said it last night and I stand by it, I think the experience that Taylor has will just be enough to pull him through, that added to the relentless desire to be the first winner of the Sid trophy means that, for me Taylor will end the night victorious.
However, Taylors post match interview where he kept mentioning his cold, energy lozenges, and his constant praise for MvG suggest that for once Phil is on edge, he is not as cock sure as he normally is and so it could add up to an amazing final, Taylor will not roll over and MvG certainly has no fear of the big man.

Hmmm, does not sound all that sincere and I think there is more to it that they will not let on.
I hardly think he was angry that Barney pulled him, it was not like he was wrestling with him.
I said from the beginning that Taylor would win his 16th title this year, but I really wanted Barney to win it, now after seeing the way Taylor reacted even though I dont know the full story I want MVG to win. I still think Taylor will do it, but hope MVG does it for Barneys sake.

At the end of the day Sports is a high pressured business. Phil's feeling it more and more every Tournament because he can no longer just go out and steam roller everyone like he used to be able to do.
That said I'd love to see him Win this one and then finally retire on a high. MVG is going to have plenty of days to come.
Also, with MVG, I was watching him celebrating at the end of his semi with Wade and I don't know what anyone else thought but he seemed to be relieved that he'd reached the Final. It was almost as though he went, "Well, I've reached the Final, that's all I wanted".
It was almost as though he's settled for 2nd place. Hopefully he doesn't give Phil as much respect as he gave Barney in theior Final and throw it away before it begins.

Phil's not used to being beat down the board. Then again he knows MvG might let him back it the leg with missed doubles. Should be a good final. We have some friends coming over to watch. It's guaranteed to be a more exciting final than the last one we had people over for. (Part/Shepherd)

the missed doubles is letting MVG a lot, if he tightens that up and keeps his power scoring then Taylor will be in trouble.

I see MvG all over the net getting credit for a "world record" 17 perfect darts. Not giving the man enough credit as it was actually 19 perfect darts. 2 treble 19's on his turn before the 9 darter

Phil Taylor was my favorite player I just don't like what he did now that the facts are out. Go MVG. Hes still the Greats Player there ever was but not a good sport. I could change my mind in the future- Its up to the big man to right this wrong!!!

Funny thing is, I was watching it live and phil went straight to the commentary box and they asked him what happened and he denied it and said that the camera man said he wasn't rolling(even though he was) then laughed it off pretending it didnt happen

Love the comments you see on the videos. I made that video up above ^^^^ to give credit to MvG. Everyone is saying 17 perfect darts when it's 19. Here's a comment on the video...
PhilippSSV 1 hour ago 17 perfect Darts not 19. But it was a great moment Greets from Germany Reply ·
legendofjd3 20 minutes ago Did you even watch the video? It's 19 perfect darts in a row.

Justice will be served today when mighty Mike gives Taylor the beaten he deserves Im sure if it wasnt Taylor aka Mr PDC 12% he would be punished for last night Anderson got a few months ban for his behaviour World Champion Michael Van Gerwen sounds good for the most exciting darts player the world has ever seen
