| Barney did put a marker down but Anderson played well too and had a 100+ average for most of the game. Fair play to haavisto though, he can go away with his head held high
Night of the tournament so far for me. |

| yeah I thought the Pre lim game was great! better than most of the main matches so far, they were both hitting plenty of T20's. The standard of play is improving every year with the pre limmers. |

| Positives for me....Barney Anderson and the thorn...all really good and looking forward to seeing them play again.
MAJOR disappointments....Taylor, played very poorly indeed, will not win it unless he gets his finger out (and even if he does get his finger out, I don't see him winning it this year)
Lewis, also has his heid up his @rse...not playing well either, has little chance of winning this, in my opinion.
Ovens.....worst game EVER!! I sat through the entire game and it was painfull....him v Lewis in next round means that lewis will surely progress.....Ovens would not have got in our darts team playing like that....clearly he is on a downword and terminal decline (injury probably to blame), but we'll not see him next year.
Averages have been very poor so far....BDO standard. I so wish it was a proper world championship with all players from BDO and PDC playing....but that sint gonna happen soon is it? |

| I'm really looking forward to the Lourence Ilagan vs. Jamie Lewis game. I wish it was 1st round format and not prelim though. I hope Jamie is on form. I saw him play as a youth in 2009 at the World Cup and he was brilliant. Twice on the 9 darter. Lourence is a very solid player as well doing well at The World and has played at the Ally Pally before. Colin Osbourne could have his hands full either way. |

i missed the match or was just bad day for caven He shot really well. Both had chances. If Bowles hit his doubles he could of put Caven away earlier. |
