Unicorn Points Empty
PostSubject: Unicorn Points   Unicorn Points EmptyFri Aug 03, 2012 12:14 am

Hi lads, just wondering if anyone has experienced any problems with Unicorn Points fitting darts? I got a set of Unicorn Board Gripper points to put into my Devon Petersons (Unicorn). Got the standard points out of the Petersons no problems but the Board Gripper points wouldn't fit into the barrel when I tried.

I used a Rivet Gun to remove the point, following the tutorial that was posted here (by Danny I think) but the point would not go into the barrel. It would sit down about 2mm into the barrel but when I tried to drive it down further, the point wouldn't budge. I was trying to be gentle so didn't hit it too hard. When i finally did strike it harder, the point bent in the barrel without going in further. Am I doing something wrong when putting in the point or are there issues with points only fitting certain barrels?

Not personally but have heard others have similar issues. But its not good if their own points dont fit their own darts!

hmmm thats strange. I got a cheapo repointer and have never had any problems. Maybe somebody here has some advice for ya IFG. I now use storm points, use to use board grippers me self with tridents. But with storms don't need them. Good luck mate

Not heard of any issues with unicorns but I think it was rebel telling me he couldn't fit storms into a set of targets before. Honestly though mate I'd invest in a repointer.

I thought it was a bit strange, when I had the old point out and compared it to the new point I could see that the board grippers were a tiny bit bigger. Ended up just putting in standard silver points I had lying about. I'd love to get a repointer Fox but I don't think I'd get the use out of it. The main reason I wanted to change the points is that the standard unicorn points in them started to have this really odd discolouration on them.
