| This is my friends set-up at his shop. For those with an eagle eye you will recognize Eric B in the pic next to the board. He just got done thrashing my buddy in the finals back in the late 80's. Dartmaster III. Those are nice!!!! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Here's my setup. Itsmounted to a board, that i've set up to hang over the kitchen door (limited space everywhere else!) and to save the complaints of the masking tape i used to use for the oche, i got probably my favourite bit of darting kit, the laser oche. | Looks like a good setup mate. Is the laser oche any good then? |

| Its great, easy to setup and the batteries last ages too.
the only down side is that you have to look where you are putting your foot, rather than pressing up against a piece of wood. |

| yeah, i know, its an awful shadow....kitchen spotlights turned as much towards the board as they would go!
might see if i can rig a spotlight that will clip onto the door too in the future, but at the moment i can live with the shadow... just! |

| Built this set up last weekend. Had half of a ping pong table I used for the backboard and used two layers of cardboard for the ring. Tried to use a track light that had been sitting in closet for years, but somehow I broke two out of the three lights, so that will be next weekends project. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Next time I will make the ring longer at the bottom, missing board frequently on bottom numbers. | Looks good shrek and good use of the cardboard for the ring.
As far as the bottom numbers go, if you are having problems when switching down for those numbers then I would suggest you add something to your practise sessions where you go purely for that area of the board.
As an example, instead of playing games of 501 or 1001 where you try to hit 180's down to the finish, just use the bottom numbers - ie 19 and 17. This will give you a lot more confidence when going down the bottom of the board, and because of the numbers involved it will also help your maths if you're not great at counting (I'm not implying you can't count btw - this is a general suggestion to help anybody who can't lol). |
