i have 2 sets 25g and 22g i don't want to spend anymore on darts just now (read- not allowed ) anyway i've been mucking about with the 2 sets i have and trying to throw in an easily repetitive manor with what to me would be the most natural way to aim. the 25s go high 75% the 23s go slightly low 75%. does this mean that i would be better using a 23/24 gram dart or is this just mental and i'd be best of just seeing a shrink

If you're constantly switching between two weights your brain will make adjustments that you dont need/want........ stick with one set (whichever one feels most comfortable) and practice like hell!

I agree with Goofy on this one. For newer players I always recommend starting with the heavier dart. Seeing the shrink doesn't help because your a Dartsnutz

If it isnt in your head then you are prob on the right track, there will be a perfect weight and shape for your throw out there someware, you just gota find it. Then like goofy said stick with it and practice practice practice. I think you are right in searching for the one cuz you dont wana be stuck with someting that aint right got you, For the mean time stick with the 25's it sounds like they are getting to the board easy just slow your throw a tad, I find this made me more accurate

thanks lads . the reason i've started thinking about it is that i like the scallop at the back of one dart , but too small and stumpy while i like how narrow the other is and the length is better though perhaps a little long. the shot 901 23g seems to be the best of both worlds (in my head) and at 23 grams works out with my theory. just they are 30 quid and i've just spent 40 on a set a couple of weeks ago and 20 on the harrows a couple of months ago. could be i'm just trying to justify another purchase in me head!

are the sets your using now of a similar shape because the shape and its balance point can have a big affect too, then the length of stems and shape of flights can add another affect.

If the 25's go high and the 23's go low...
By all means it's time to sell those darts or trade them here for a set of 16 gram darts.
There is simply no other option.

See JD is trying to make everyone switch to light darts, then his plan of darts domination will be complete and he will be the top light darts player

We ain't swapping to no girls darts at 16g lol
Start varying your practice routines a bit like going big 1 small 2 big 3 small 4 and by small I mean the little triangle of the number below the treble. I'ts a great way to build up your accuracy and will help you control your throw more. Do this with the one set of darts for a week and note how many darts it takes to complete around the board including 25 and bull then try the same with the other lighter set and see how they perform then you may be able to make a better choice based on the stats over a week with each set. The lighter the dart the more accurate you need to be and you need to have pink stems and flights in them cos they is for girls lol

i use to switch dart bad habit i thought to get into so now i only take one set to darts but i to am having issues on weather to switch weights but some one told me to play around with set up first flights stems ect but the 100 dart challange could help you here throw 100 with each set see witch is more consistant and group better as i feel grouping is the the key goodluck
