| I practice all numbers, all segments. Especially the large segments because how many times you need to hit that single number to give you an out ?
I and you (if you watch) have seen pros miss the large segment of a number and miss an opportunity to shoot a double. Go around the board and just shoot the large segment without missing one, you may find that its more difficult than you think. So practice these singles also not just pound treble 20's is my thinking. |

| Im of the same opinion. I would love a $1 for every time I have missed a fat single to leave a peg. |

| I missed a big fat 16 3 times in a row playing cricket the other day. I was playing NScore program. I was pointing on bulls and he was crushing the 16's on me. There is nothing more frustrating than missing a big fat single. |

| I did put this post on another topic but big 1 small 2 big 3 small 4 and so on is a good way to practice single numbers and by big and small I mean Big area above the treble and small area below the treble then just reverse it to small 1 big 2 small 3 and count how many darts it takes to get out.
Another good 501 routine is start with 20's and hit as higher score as possible then your next shot has to be at 19's then 18's and 17's and so on until you get to 40 or below then normal finishing will apply. So if you are on 14's and you still needed 62 if you hit a single it leaves 48 another single leaves 34 so that is your shot if you hit the treble it leaves D10 62-42 =20 if you hit the single then the treble going for another single this would leave D3 as 14 and T14 =56 so the shot left is 6. I hope this is understandable and it is a really good routine. A good start is imperative as your options to score become less and less as you go down the numbers and it gets you practising some of those trebles you tend to forget about or avoid like the 13's 14's and 11's mind you I hope you don't get down to less than 11's.
Give it a try and let me know what numbers you are going out on, not the double but the last numbers you were having to score on to get a shot at a double with.
Stay Special and good shooting everyone |

| The number of times I've seen people miss single 1 when needing it to c/o 5 or 9 or 33 etc is unbelievable. |
