| Hi, with new members joining on a regular basis I thought it would be interesting to find out how we all got here, word of mouth, recommendation, search engine, heck you may have even started the forum! Also I think it could be a good way of finding which areas we need to focus our efforts in getting the word out and attracting new members to this great site. Well I was given the nudge by our very own McInnis180, after doing a few swaps with Trevor and exchanging tips (remember his video about removing damaged threads from the barrel?) - a big thanks to Trevor for the heads up |

| Well, originally it was Andy Baileys idea to start a forum for vintage darts and people interested in collecting darts. Thats what we did initially and the forum was called The Darting Era, Andy, Myself and Larry and I think Brian (Waterstomper) were the only members of that forum until we changed to the forum we have now Darts Nutz. Andy had ran and built forums before and so was the main guy, but we quickly got things rolling, as Larry says it did feel very lonely at first and we were not sure at times if we would get even a 100 members so quick, but we gone passed that and it has taken off really well, considering we had very little exposure its done remarkable really. |

| Good to hear how the site came to exist - now then, who came up with the name 'Darts Nutz' and whats the reasoning behind it?
Cheers, Greg |

Cheers, Greg I can't remember now to be honest, may have been me but I cant say for sure, Andy might remember, I guess it was because we were all Nuts about darts basically. When I think about it I came up with the name for the first forum, so may have been Andy who thought of Darts Nutz? |

Thanks Big, there's room for us on the net. We have some very good attributes and are striving to improve as we go forward. Darts Corner I was there for a long time but always felt a little restricted. That being said Darts Corner a very good forum and they have many loyal and great members. How ever once again there is definitely more freedom here to mention other forums ,sites , swapping darts and such. They have their rules and we have ours. After all is said and done we are all DARTS NUTZ and members make a forum and though we are young and growing I would put our members against any forum. I just ask all you guys and gals to spread the word. Thanks, Larry |

| I'm an early member and I heard about the site from Darren as well. I like the freedom to mention other online retailers here, and I don't have to worry about posting links on here to a player's site just because it has a link to Red Dragon or A180 or whatever, whereas the links wouldn't be allowed on the DC forum. That being said I like both forums and there is definitely room on the web for both to exist. The more darts gets publicised in one way or another the better as far as I am concerned. I even got the site linked on the Justin Pipe website |

| I heard about the site from USMC80. He mentioned how I could talk with others about dart equipment and trade, buy, sell darts with other members. Seeing that I was in the process of hunting for a new set of darts that worked out great for me. I signed up to see what it would be like and I was hooked instantly. |

| I just stumbled upon it one day in work when googling something. Can't remember exactly what I was looking for though. It seemed like a good site so I signed up and haven't looked back since. The welcomes I recieved was definatly a major thing that made me feel at home and made me want to get posting. |

| Been looking at schofield darts on Ebay..seem pricey,so googled it and got darts nutz. Haven't played darts since 1996 when my mother died, but had a go earlier this year.could not hit a thing. trying to solve my problems as been a pain.I had played for over 25 years to a fair pub standard, reaching a local league individual final, A problem that has got worse is my epilesy(I had my first do when I was 40),I used to always chalk in league games being quite good at mental arithmatic. sadly now I can pull my darts out and forget my score, but there are people worse of than me my best score at darts was possibly when I got 5 bulls in 6 darts,my claim to fame would be,I aways (played for aggregate(may have spelt that wrong)so I always left double one. or any double that came along.Being quite a quick playerI would usually shake hands as they pulled out their darts or lose by 2. I had played with medium Schofield but found replacing flights a bind.So I used to use Long Tom's with the all in one plastic flights, but have not been able to find any more(at the right price) I use some 14.5grm ????? concentric brass darts, but may go for set a little lighter, maybe.
Where Schofield dart made in Bridlington
Be happy
All the Best
