Firstly I would disagree with the age bracket. Raising the age limit to 16 and 25 is wrong in my opinion. Secondly a youth in my eyes is someone under eighteen. Look at the scenario last year when you had MVG playing both championships.

I agree, 18 should be max age limit.

You imagine a 15 year old playing an 18 year old and they have a fair chance on ability, but all the extra experience a 25 year old (MvG 23) will have gives the 15 year old little to no chance - will ruin the youth tour.

Thing is its not a youth tour anymore its now the unicorn challenge tour to get you ready for the main tour and they have put the first 3 dates on county weekends so its now make your choice

From PDC,
Just to clarify re the PDC Unicorn Challenge Tour, players from 14-16 can play but must be accompanied by parent/guardian, so it's age 14-25

I'm curious. If everyone here disagrees with the decision I wonder why the PDC and it's executives would find in favor of it?

What did they vote on that we are not seeing? What is the reasoning behind it? It passed a boards vote so I'm curious as what more is behind it.

that means 14 year olds even 16 year old have only a tiny chance of winning! as some 25 year olds would already have experience on the PDC tour! ridiculious

I would cut the age off at 20-21.
