| I hope not but if he gets beaten soundly it could be. |

| Being the competitor he is, I can't see him hanging it up just yet. |

| No way, he is still favorite to win it which means that he is far from done just yet, I'd say a 2-3 more years left in the top 8 for the Power. It wasn't long ago he was developing new darts, P7's, they didn't work for him but the fact he tried something a bit different to try and up his game suggest to me that he is not thinking about retiring just yet, plenty more big pay days for the Power IMO. |

| Phil is washed up more than this tree. He has no chance at winning this year. Needs to get himself in the commentary booth.[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Phil said in an interview earlier in this year that it is probably it for him, and he is just playing to buy his other daughter a house and maybe bump his retirement fund a little |

| I think he has another world title in him. Then he'll contemplate retiring.

| Taylor is just playing the mind games, he still has the fire burning inside, he still hates losing which is the number 1 aspect of a winner. I would put money on Taylor still being around for at least 2-3 yet, if he was 9-10th in the world, yeah I would say he probably on his way out but he is still number 1 - no way has the Power gone out just yet.

I Agree with Rebel here, plus how many times in the past have we seen a dip in his form just for the doom and gloom traders to announce that's it he's finished. Only for him to come back and raise the bar again, I still say none of the other pro's will be relishing a draw with him, they will still be expecting nothing but brilliance from him. Ok one day the quick to dismiss him will be right, but how many times will they have been wrong before that day come's? If there's one thing we should learn from watching Phil Taylor over the year's it's if you kick him when he's down he tends to get up dust himself down and hit back harder than ever. |

| No way, I doubt he will retire for a long while yet. |

| No Way!! He is still number one simple as, both in ability and ranking. He is still winning majors and still has a lot in him. He is not practicing as much as he used to, but when he does he is unstoppable, and it doesn't matter who he plays, he will win!
As far as age goes look at Priestley, and then go back a few years and look at how old John Lowe was when he was still competing and taking scalps in majors. I don't think Taylor will go on that long, as it would be soul destroying for the best player ever to be outside of the top 8, but I would say there are at least 3 more years for him, and at least one more World Championship. |

| No he's not going to retire, even though by his high standards, only a few trophies is a bit of a failure this year, he's been enjoying himself. I think as long a he's wining some trophies and enjoying himself, why would he retire. Lol sky would offer him a job on the TV team in a heartbeat, and he has Team Taylor still building up. But there's no rush on either of those and Team Taylor doesn't need his full attention anyway, but it is enough to keep him from dwelling, so really things are rosy as ever for him. No pressure |
