| Is the master past his sell by date as far as being a dominant force in darts is concerned ? Nobody can doubt his commitment to the game and i dont begrudge him any of the vast amount of titles he has won but old father time has a hand in things too ! Hes not getting any younger and this has to have an affect surely . The young guns arent bothered by his outstanding cv in the game , To them hes just another player to beat even tho he is well respected . There was a time when Lewis was fancied to follow him but i fear thats just what hes done in staying one step behind him all the way , A nearly man if you like ! So whats your opinions ? |

| Taylor is the greatest of all time period. Is he slipping a bit the answer is yes and no. Last year Phil won 5 majors not shabby. I believe his eye sight and weight is detrimental and is affecting him more as time goes on. Hes not Taylor of old but better than anyone else even at this point. |

| Taylor is some kind of freaky darting phenom, and while he looks like he is on the decline ya just never know for sure with him.
I think old father time is catching up with him now and that no doubt has some bearing on his recent form, but he is still a force to be reckoned with but may not be as dominant as he once was.

| I think he is playing just about as well as he ever was....but the rest are improving, that is what makes it exciting....less of a gap between him and the rest.
but ask yourself the question....who is the favourite with the bookies for every competition when he is entered.
He is a totally class player |

| I hear what your saying and you may have a valid point BUT dont you think its a bit of a coincidence that all the main contenders have all improved at the same time He will remain a bookies favourite due to his record but i honestly believe his reign of darts dominance is over which can only be good for the game in the longer term , He will win again but i dont think it will be as common an occurrence as has been known . |

| Well I would like to see Taylor win it at least one more time, I just like people to attain amazing records really. I would love to see Barney win it again but I cant see that happening to be honest. |

| I reckon he won't be as dominant as before....but I still reckon he is the best player in the world. I also reckon the others have had to up their game at the same time....confidence in the fact that he can be beaten is also a factor....good discussion though |

| Ya see thats why I like Taylor, when he is determined it seems like he can do anything he wants. You have to admire the guys consistency throughout his career, it can't be easy be so focused all the time and must be mentally very tiring. |
