| He's had a couple of bad patches in the past and one or two people that said he was finished then, wished they had kept their mouths shut
It would have to be a hell of a long bad patch before I would say his winning days are over |

| I have notice that one of Phil's big time advantages is his cover shots. Just deadly when hes on. |

| Fiddling around with too many darts is the problem. |

| The only slight chink in his armour might be that he's feeling the week long tournaments. Maybe his stamina is down a bit?
Phil's the best on his day, no doubt about that but the real problem might be all these other guys. Seems like there's a few throwing 105+ at any given time. Competition is tight. |

| He could beat me with one dart a shot and still be in a slump!!!!
Didnt he get knocked ot of the PRIX with 102-107 avg?
Think he's got a few years yet |

| This year Taylor hasn't been anywhere near his best. He has been playing his B game most of the time but his B game is equal or better than most pro's A game. We have to remember that Phil isn't getting any younger and his lifestyle has changed alot in the last couple of years because of his split with the wife and there was concerns with his grandchild a while back too. That will have an effect on his performances but if anyone suggested that he would never win a major again I would say they were an eejit.
As JD says too, the standard of his competitors is rising too. I believe his dominance has ended but that in no way suggests that he is done.........
Raymond Van Head Shaker on the other hand, I would suggest that he will never win a major again. If he is under any sort of pressure he folds quicker than an origami master in a post-it note orgy.

| I agree with a lot of the other comments....I think Phil has gone off the boil a little in recent times, but I also think some of the other players are now taking it seriously and have closed the gap on him. They are also not frightened of him now like they used to be. Most of them were beaten before they even got on stage!! With the huge amounts of money available now the other pros are practicing more and reaping the rewards. Personally I love it when he gets knocked out of a tournament as it suddenly opens up the whole thing and anyone can win it. It's like darts were before the Taylor era. He is certainly the most consistent player ever and we shall never see his like again, but it got very boring watching him win all the time and only left us guessing who the runner up would be. |

| I have seen Taylor go through slumps before. He will come back from this one as well and he will be just that bit better as well.
As for him swapping darts causing this, he is always looking for any edge that he can get. He has probably reached his peak with the phase 6's, so he is looking at what will take him to the next level.
All the other guys will need to lift their efforts when Phil finds the phase 7 that he will use. |

| I think when HE decides to call it a day he should be put in charge. Then he may get his wish and ban drinking from the sport all together Think how much pressure would be on some/most players then. Also the game may be taken a bit more seriously. Just my opinion though. |

| I think Taylor is a long way from being written off. He is after all only human. So, it is natural for him to have a bad patch. He does however have his work cut out for him with the new up and coming talent. He will always and forever be one of the founding players that changed the game of darts in his era. |
