Harrows Re Pointer Empty
PostSubject: Harrows Re Pointer   Harrows Re Pointer EmptyTue Jan 24, 2012 10:19 pm

As some will know ive just bought a Harrows re pointer from DARTS CORNER , Well its here so here goes

Picture 1
The re pointer comes in a sturdy plastic case about the same size as those horrible plastic cases you get with new darts

Picture 2
Inside the case is the re pointer 2 allen keys and instructions

Well this is how it works , Simply screw the barrel on , release the 2 allen screws at the bottom , Using the butterfly nut wind the barrel down so the barrel nearly touches the clamp, Tighten the clamp allen screws then raise the barrel leaving the point in the clamp

Overpriced for what it is really but well made on the whole , It seems to do the job well enough .

GRIPES

Who in gods name thought it would ne a good idea to put a butterfly nut at the top ?????
Near impossible to turn when pointing / removing point , Solution , well its going down the workshop to have a brief discussion with a grinder and a welder , I am going to replace the butterfly with a standard nut , Much easier to just use a spanner,

Overall not a bad bit of kit but for around £50 it should be perfect !!!!

I used to wreck my hand with the butterfly nut on tight barrels!
