| If you travel to a tournament, what is your warm-up routine? How long do you like to warm-up before your first match?
Notice that I say warm-up not practice, practice is what is done in the days/weeks before going to the tourny not at the tourney. |

| Couple of hours minimum, enough time to have 3 or 4 beers before my first game and plenty warm-up throws |

| I don't enter many now, but I'll get there about an hour or so beforehand to have a couple of shandies and also to have a throw to get used to the board(s) as they will be completely different settings to what I use at home. |

| I like to leave enough time to have a few throws on each board to get my eye in, usually like to be warmed up before I get there because any our league runs are all relatively close to home and then just use the time there to get used to the boards and have a few jars. |

| I like to get there at least 1 hr before. I warm up by just throwing at board for say 10-15 min then I do round the board on doubles. Then I do large grouping from flight school and finish with a few minutes each on 20's and Bulls. I really don't like practice matches by the way. And will never play an opponent before hand (big no,no for me). |

| I have a beer or 2 before entering the dart hall an hour to an hour and a half before the tournament starts, register for the event. Then back to the hotel room for another beer. Return about 15 mins before they start the event.
In my warm-up I'll throw at random outs, and trip 20's. If someone asks for a game, I'll brush them off, just don't like to play before the tourney starts. |

| I normally get to the venue an hour or so before the registration so I can have a throw on all the boards if possible. I do the box standard 41 to 60 check outs then round the board on doubles then bang in 15 minutes on the trebles 20, 19, 18 and 17.
I am happy to play mates if they want a game before the tourney but no people I don't know. I also like to have a socialise with the other players so I get to know who's who. I only have a couple of pints throughout the whole tourney as I usually drive. Unlike many too much beer makes me play worse as I become too complacent, I also get a bit like this if I'm on last as I don't like to stand around watching I like to be playing. I have found that chalking if I'm on last helps me to keep my focus as I feel involved in the game more. |

| I simply hang out in the hall and go around to different boards and toss a few just to stay loose.
I definitely don't stay on one board.
Always moving around, just getting used to the dart hall.
I talk with as many friends as I can. I like to joke around and have a good time.
Laughs all around. I'm a super laid back guy and like to have a good time. If I lose a
match it's not the end of the world for me. I've prepared as much as I can and I know I'll
shoot good. If I lose, I know the other guy shot better. Nothing I can do.
I'm certainly not one of the uptight jerks that can't be approached because they
are "getting ready" and can't be bothered. Hate that. |

I agree with what your saying but I have a serious side of me darts . Yes. When the game begins, it's serious business. I hate to lose and I'll try my hardest to not lose. But if I do indeed get beat, the very second the match is over, there is not a thing in the world I can do about it. I'm over it. Learning experience. I really believe my personality allows me to play at a very high level and succeed. Don't get too upset a loss, don't get an inflated ego with a big win. But yes, I agree Silver. It's business time when the match starts. |
