PostSubject: whats your stance   whats your stance EmptyThu Nov 01, 2012 7:00 pm

I'd like to know how some of my fellow NUTTERZ stand at the ochey and their throw technique.

For me I stand with a 40 degree right foot left of center of bull to accomadate for shoulder width and a slight arch'd (lean) back, which lines my shoulder directly with bull. I dont lean too far forward just enough to feel weight on my back foot which is flat on the floor and I sorta lock my front knee soz I dont bounce. My arm is raised so that upper arm is SLIGHTLY down from paralell to the ground and in line with the target. Fore arm is slightly forward of parallel
to the board and I do a single back swing to under my right eye to a forward throw and follow through. I made a home made sight right and found I was only about 10mm to far left.

Thats me in a NUTZ shell how about you?

I stand like Taylor side ways with arm, shoulder and head aligned to the board. All lined up for those 1's and 5's lol

My feet are in the same position as the above picture. I have a ever so slight lean forward with my upper body.

I don't have a solid oche, just a tape one on the floor, so I can't "lean" against it like Taylor, but other than that, mine's pretty close to his. Side on, right eye and shoulder in line with the 20Bull3 line. Slight lean toward the board but not much.

I'm side on, but trying to get away from my lean. It makes me feel a lot further, but hope to benefit in the long run from more stability.

I stand approx 45 deg angle to right of center, slight lean forward. Back foot about 3 feet behind front foot.

Bicep is almost straight out from shoulder, pull dart back and touch just above my right eyebrow then push forward.

My action is one you guys may not have come across before in combination with my grip, thumb and index finger.

I will video myself soon and post for you all to see.

Sounds interest Jimbo is that how you always done it or did you do it like that for a reference point, I usually smack the dart into my top lip, its a nightmare as sometimes looks like I have been scratched by a cat! Very Happy

It has just evolved into that way. I used to buy white cloth flights and colour them in with fluoro hilighters and I used to touch my cheek with the flight back then. I wouold end up with rainbow marks on my cheek from them.
