Here is my grip. I hold it at the back of the barrel then rest my middle finger on the middle of the barrel and my rd finger on the barrel where it meets the steel tip.

Yeah like Bobby George and Bristow holding the stem, might as well throw with a smooth dart really.

Yeah, it's half on the stem, half on the dart. The darts Im using at the moment have grip right at the back but if I'm throwing a dart with no grip at the back I use Gripper GT shafts which gives me a little grip on the stem. I tried putting grooves in aluminium stems like Beaton does but I can't get on with them at all!

Thats another very delicate looking grip

everything else is too invasive on my throw. when i first started i used three fingers w/ a finger or two over the top. after some experimenting this is where i've arrived at. for me, a finger over the top induces spin. i don't want spin unless i'm rocking my turbine flights. =D

I know what you mean, I have 3 fingers and my thumb, but I just cant get used to throwing another way, I tried it last year and just got worse and worse, then could not find my old throw.

in the first month i played i would constantly be at war w/ my prior self trying to "refind that throw". the one i settled on within myself during my last practice session. and once i found that after 30 min of throwing, it was onto refinding my grip.

so i took pictures. lol.

That's what happened to me and it took me over a year to get back to where I left off. I will never make that mistake again. I still tweak my throw but the basic fundamentals stay the same

that's a new one. I've never seen a grip like that

Only started raising my index finger a few months ago but pinky has always gone up lol

its your grip! now for me no way- too many fingers for me on the dart and they all have to co-ordinate perfectly. But like I said thats your grip if it works it works!

That sort of grip seems a very popular one, welcome to the forum by the way!
