| So which flights apart from cosmos would you say are the best for a league player ? With so many choices and prices out there it would be good to hear your thoughts ! |

| why not check what the pros use?
As regards shape I still use Standard because I have not felt that I have developed enough to experiment yet. I use Cosmos now, but before that I would use mostly Ruthlesss 4x and Amazon flights, and occasionally Target Rhino 100. I think that was more because I wanted durability so whos to say a thinner flight would not have been better? |

| I know yer crap!! lol I mean if the pros have a preference for a type of flight then they must be good, having said that most are sponsored by a manufacturer so they may not have much choice. |

| Anyone use the harrows carbonate flights...I use them standard shape.....last as long as the amazon and ruthless ones. But I quite like the thicker flight. I sometimes use the dimpled flights but I feel the slip out a lot |

Hazza uses the Harrows Carbons. I used to use the Harrows Graflite pears with their carbon stems, now when I use normal flights it's these ones with slot rings [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| picked up a set of standard l-style flights over the weekend from a vendor at our local annual tournament. been using them all week and i love them. they weren't cheap and i'm unsure of their durability, i'll probably write a review for them after a few more weeks. but i really do like them. they fly great and at the moment are quite popular with the players in my league's a-division. (7-8 out of 10 players are using them at the moment) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]i also like 150 micron extra strong flights like pentathlons and amazons. i've got quite a few sets of those in the standard shape that are my go to flights. |

| I just tried the Cosmo Kite shape yesterday.
I found that the darts seemed to be dropping lower than when using standard shape.
I compared the size difference and the kite shape are considerably smaller.
I guess the standard shape make the darts more floaty whereas the smaller kite shape requires a faster/harder throw. I started to throw better with them after a while, so I'm going to stick with them a few more times to see if I like them. |

| I found that the smaller the Cosmo flight, the faster your dart goes! For example: I use the kite flights on my 26g darts......put the slim ones on a heavier dart....this dart seemed to go higher and faster....lol. The only problem is that using standard Cosmos is that they are so rigid, you have more deflections! So I would recommend using Kite or Pear with spin tops as to the standard tight fitting shafts!! Just my opinion guys...hope this helps!! P.S.: Using Hammerheads with Cosmos will result in wearing them down faster...already split on down the middle and have lots of chips out of them! Getting some new tips made for mine....and use tridents with your darts will make them last longer as well!!! |

i've started using the harrows carbon flights myself. they last ages, but i get a little antsy cause i like changing flights every week or two haha. it seems strange to me to play with the same flights for more than 3 weeks haha. i just got 4 more sets in the mail, so i should be good for flights until i'm larry's age |

| The best flights for anybody would be the flights with my logo on ;D Nah for the beginner it would be standard. For my that have a pretty straight throw I would go for Slim or Pear, which are both what I use. When I use standards my darts are wobbling. Cheers |

| I am big on using Dimplex flights. No, it has nothing to do with the fact that I think the dimples in the flight actually offer a drastic improvement to the flight path of the dart. I actually prefer them because they are typically thicker due to needing the extra material for putting the dimples in. With that they seem to hold their shape better.
I don't know if it's psychological or not but the standard shape Dimplex seem to offer better balance to my dart and a more reliable consistency to my flight trajectory. |

| Ruthless kites for me. The first time I threw them the dart just seemed to behave itself. Usually sticks straight out of the board at the top and slightly tilted upward at the bottom. Since I've added the Tridents I really only change one if I completely robin hood it or if I've battered the stem to the point that they start popping off all the time. But I haven't "worn out" a set of flights since the Tridents. Before the tridents I'd go through a couple sets a week. They just get chewed up horribly by that barrel/tip line. By the way, if trident's didn't exist, I wouldn't throw my current darts. The barney phantom grips. The way they mill the end of the barrel puts a razor sharp 90 degree surface at the point joint. You can DESTROY a flight in one throw if you happen to hit it with both other darts. They really should look at that. Bad design IMO. But Trident to the rescue. Now I'm going to give the Cosmo kites a run. I just like the way they look. |

| for my target voyager, i'm using pear-shaped l-flights. for my silica apollo, i use sigma pro flights. so far, those setups allow me to land the darts horizontally like i want them. |
