was thinking of getting a couple of these pots of paint and painting a set or to of darts [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] it's enamel paint. i was thinking of making 'baking' them in the oven afterwards to harden the paint. has anyone done this themselves ? have you got any advice or better paint, or way of doing it ?

I think baking will make the paint brittle - I haven't done any myself but the ones that were painted for me were left to dry naturally, the paint has held up great.

Just make sure the metal is super clean...let it dry normal, and get the right paint!!!

I have a few tinlets of the Humbrol enamel paint it works fine and is perfect for the job, just dont paint it too thick as it will come off easy. I have painted a few sets in the past, here is some will take a while to load no doubt: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I didn't bake them and not sure it would be a good idea, maybe the paint might react funny, you could always try a test with one barrel to see what happens
