Inspired by Troll's "throw video" i decided to pop a camera on top of my dartboard to get a look at my stance, throw etc....

It was quite telling.

I had convinced myself my arm was straight when throwing but the lens doesn't lie - it appears that my follow through veers to the right somewhat.

Upon seeing this i turned my elbow even further in but it didn't seem either natural or comfortable.

Is it something you have to force before it becomes confortable?

It's all rather ftustrating because i felt i was improving.

Damn you Troll!

A lot of players dont have a straight arm when throwing, I thought after watching Lowe that I should try it, it was uncomfortable and I just got worse and worse.

I dont think the start of your throw is as important as the middle and end.

I think the follow through is the important bit, as long as you release and follow through at the intended target I dont think it matter how straight the arm is.

Just watch a few of the pros and you will see that there is such a wide variety of throwing styles.
