Got these in the mail today from Eddie @ Elven Darts. I sent him a spare set of my 14 gram silver Hankey's to be made into soft tips. They came back a bit (a lot) lighter than I wanted but wasn't much of a problem as I packed the inside of the barrel with lead shotgun pellets. Approx 20 lead balls per barrel. Otherwise these barrels were completely hollow from one end to the other. The lead is packed tightly enough so nothing will fall out while changing a stem or tip. Stems in the pic weren't tightened down so I could line up the bats for pics. They do screw in all the way

I was thinking about sending my 18g soft tip Hankey's and getting Eddie to drill them out.
But I wouldn't use them much, as always use the copper tungsten soft tip dart he made for me.
Eddie has also just sent some darts I have had altered. Cant wait to see and play with them.
They will look totally different, from how they originally were.

I thought you would be using that

so you did it then, did they all weigh the same afterwards?

so if i sent him some X gram darts he could make them soft tip? about how much lighter would it be?

It wouldn't work here. The barrels are hollow.

They are all right at 14.0 grams.

They were about 3 grams lighter. Point removed plus the hole he drills.
