Up to now I have been using the Harrows Caddy and Holster to carry my darts as they store them ready for action - no fiddling about putting on flights etc. The only problem with this was that it didn't carry any spares, and as I use the Cosmo system I also had to carry around one of their flight boxes as well.
Not any more though.
I have just bought myself a Unicorn Contender case after seeing a recommendation on dartsforum - cheers to Giraffe. There is an XL version, but I've got the smaller version which is big enough for my purposes, and I must say I am impressed with it.
Open the case up and you get a detachable darts caddy and also a zipped pocket for spares (it says two on the DC website, but I just got one long pocket).
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I have taken out the zipped pocket and the case now holds enough for me to only carry the one case on match nights. My case contains the following:
- the caddy holding a set of darts fully loaded ready for action
- a couple of spare Cosmo flights and stems ready for action
- a spare set of dart barrels (the new Scott Waites ones)
- a broken stem remover
- and a sharpening stone
As a big plus, when you aren't playing you can put the darts in the caddy and plonk this in your shirt pocket without worrying about the points going through your shirt.
Pros: see above - lots less to carry on match nights
Cons: can't think of any
