This draw has me wondering a bit. I see Paul Lim & Darin Young. They are both on the Dartslive World Championship schedule on Dec 15-16.

I just don't understand why Paul would risk giving up a shot at $130,000 (£80,000) for a chance at losing in the prelim round and pocketing £3500. The amount of traveling involved would pretty much guarantee he wouldn't be properly rested.

How do these players plan on doing both events? Is it even possible??

Also Darin earned a spot in the 1st round by leading points in the NAPT. But if he KNEW he would be in Hong Kong instead, where he has a real shot of winning, I'd be really upset if I was the number 2 guy in the NAPT order.

All of this seems VERY odd to me.

Add John Part and Lourance Iilagan to that list as well

Since an American hasn't made it past the 1st round since I can remember, I was only thinking a round, maybe 2 at most. The draw is set up really favorable for him. But I agree, the 3rd round is a dead end road for Darin.

I saw this on another dart website (Sewa) and someone picked Paul Lim to upset MvG in the 1st round. This member really thinks Paul has a chance.
I know this person doesn't smoke crack so it got me thinking.
Does he really have ANY sort of chance.
Paul did well in the PDC years ago. But since 2000 or earlier I think he's been seen as a token player. Or a freebie advance.

What do you guys think?

I would love to see a dark horse go deep into the comp, for sure, it should be another phenomenal tourney, for sure, cannot wait!!

I think it would be great if a qualifier from outside the UK went deep into the comp, just to see an area in the world not known so much for darts to get on the map.
