I am looking to purchase a high end home dart board. I am looking for some advise on what to buy. These look to be the top of the line home boards. I am open to other options I have not found yet.

Please Advise.

I do use short tipped 18g sharkfin darts.

To be honest, i think it comes down to personal choice with these 2 boards. Me and my best friend used to own the Arachnid 750. That was their top of the line board years ago. The face of it is identical to the ones you might see in pubs. It also has all the most popular games. Count up, Bermuda triangle, cricket, 01's and a bunch of variations.

The Dartslive board is great and the reviews have been good. So really it comes down to what board you would rather stare at. They both have very different faces although the segment size is the same.

Price might be a factor. I've seen the Arachnid 800 sell for as low as $249 with free shipping.

I have this Viper Extreme board- it's been a great board. Mine has the traditional steel tip colors though. My friend has the arachnid 800 and we both prefer the Viper. The scoring display is better/ easier to see.

Ok then what is it exactly that makes a good soft tip board, and also do the actual tips you use on the darts need to be of a certain type for a certain board?
