| Am I the only one that still does this. Have changed 100's of sets of points over the gas cooker ring. None of your fancy gadgets for me!!!!

| Sound scary. Id worry about changing the colour or temper and painted darts would be out of the question aswell. But I suppose that experience is the key to this one and you would have plenty of that Rab.
Do you heat it up enough so the hole expands and the tip falls out then the new tip slips strait in and when it cools it becomes tight? |

| Dirty G I heat the dart up and then put it in cold water straight away. When cooled I pull the point out with a pair of pliers. My camera is away at the moment but as soon as it come back I will take a few photo's. |

| Nice, I might well find myself using this method...
How are you using heat to insert the new points RabSmith? |

| I know someone recently that snapped a point off at the barrel and a mate took it to work and used an oxy set on it to heat it and the point just dropped out, dart saved. |

How are you using heat to insert the new points RabSmith? Hi Suwon you do not use heat to put the new points in, just stick them in straight after you take old point out. In some rare cases the point might come out, if this happens a little bit of loctite glue at the end of the point does the job. Do so at your own risk but I have never encounter any problem. The darts in photos are Colin Lloyd Pro Stone Black, no probs after with charring. |

| I can't tell from the picture, are you heating the point or the end of the barrel? |

| I have some gold kings got some gold points I want to put in but don't want to send them off.
Have you tried with gold darts? Don't really want to ruin them |

| Outstanding sir! Where I live points are $10 and repointing (less cost of points) is $30... Bearing in mind new Assassins are $50 I figured I'd just throw away my darts when a point broke (or have two spares). Your excellent idea is exactly what I was looking for ^^ Should you make it to Seoul I've got a beer and a cigar waiting for you |
