| Hi! I need some help about this set. Could somebody identify it for me? I don't know that the 3 darts are the original or not. I inherited this set, my English relative played with that and gave it to my father around the late 70' or early 80'. The steel tip has been changed because frayed about the years. (we don't take care of it when we were a child) Regards Gábor [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Evans shot with a straight ringed barrel.
Those look a lot like a Lazerenko dart. |

| They dont look like Evans darts to me. Evans darts were slim and ringed as JD said, more like a Bristow style. Not sure what darts those are to be honest. |

| Yes, similar but not like Lazarenko & Rees. Does anybody knows how look like the original darts set what was released with this Evan's red case? I looked on the unicorn book of darts all what I find but didn't find this set nowhere.

| Definitely not the standard Alan Evans darts, but in my years of collecting I've learned not to discount anything as often players would endorse all manor of darts. (Just look at Taylor, there must be dozens of variations of his darts out there, from brass to tungsten, different shapes and sizes). So whilst these aren't what you'd typically expect, I wouldn't rule them out. Here is a screen grab of Alan Playing, you can see his darts are a straight barrel (and correct me if I'm wrong anyone, but I think they are copper tungsten). | Check with Patrick Chaplin (Dr. Dart). He helped me out with some old flights by asking Alan Evans old manager. He might be able to help you. |

| Another person that used a 4 ringed barrel like that was Keith Deller. Although looking at my old Unicorn catalogs i can't find a match. |

| Definitely not the Alan Evens as I know them, but if just that case came up on eBay I think you could be surprised, Iv's seen stupid bids on old pro players cases and their old flights from 70's/ 80/s lately |

I saw someone put up a set of old Big Cliff Lazarenko flights recently with a £35 starting price - don't know if they sold though as I didn't save them in the watch list lol |

| I don't intend to sell it, I'm playing with it, all I want to know, anything about the set ( age, manufacture, player) thats all). I'd like see how look like the set what belongs this red case. The darts shape very sililar to Lazarenko gold sets but it has only four ring on the barrel instead of five, and not gold. |

| The darts that go with that case are the same darts that I have posted here, his barrels never changed just the case. |

Looking at the advert Darren has come up with, I would say Stuart was pretty close with his earlier comment, we as collectors are getting to learn quite a bit more through the likes of Patrick's newsletter and this forum. |

| If you look at all the different darts Bobby George has had is name to over the years it is more than Taylor I think and very many varieties too. |

| Sometimes I wish Grip would place the Dartsnutz watermark in a different spot. He put it right across the barrels I want to look at as some sort of cruel joke. Across the stem area would of been okay? |

| I have a set of 22g Alan Evans darts from the late 70s/early 80s. They are 100% genuine as I got them from an old sports shop in Luton that I worked in called Shanks and Turner. The case is white and red, with Evans' picture on the front. I'd sell them for the right price and I'd be interested in offers. Thanks. |

| Hi All. Nice to get involved - watching Fitton v Bunting on BBC2... What do the Evans sets sell for as a matter of interest? |

Have you got a pic of them? I guess a lot depends on the condition and the person buying them. I have seen them sell from £30 to as much as £90. |

| I have that wallet too, but the set I have with it look like a modified set, they have a very faint pattern to the barrels, but still ringed. |
