Double practice Empty
PostSubject: Double practice   Double practice EmptyThu Oct 18, 2012 4:15 am

Hi!

I have not read all of the other posts, so I dont know if this is up.

But I wanted to share some of my practice-routines, and first out are the Double-practice.

Double practice

Another version of around the clock on doubles.

In this version you go around the doubles from 1 to Dbull. You get three darts at each, and if you miss all three darts, that number is gone. So you have three darts at each double and you are trying to get so many darts at each. If you hit the double on the first or second dart that throwing round ends and you go and take your darts and go to next double.
If you get 16+ every round then you try the same with only 2 darts at each double. And if you get 16+ there also. Then you go to the final round and that's 1 dart at each target, if you get 16+ there every time, then join the PDC because then you have a double% that will go far Smile Smile

And yet another version of around the clock.

This time you risk getting busted. Then you go 1 – double bull like a real game. If you are going for d1 and hit a s1 then you are busted. If you are throwing at d10 and you hit a s10, then you go for d5.
You start out with 5 lives. If you miss all three darts then you lose a life. If you bust and have at least 1 dart left, then you go for bull, if you hit double bull then you will keep your life.
Another example; you have d19 and hit a s19, then you are left with 19 to check out.

I hope this will be as fun for you that it have been for me Smile

Thanks Venigoor. Sounds like a good routine.
i came up with the following routine to try and penalise split or busted doubles.
