| Welcome to JD's quiz time. Today's question.... When did Phil Taylor hit his 1st 9 darter in a tournament? |

| 10 years ago against Mace the Ace was his first televised one - Matchplay from memory - so I'll go with that |

Incorrect sir. Got me stumped then - I would have been surprised if it had been his first to be honest. I actually just checked if it was the Matchplay and found a video of it and the commentators were saying something about it being the first live 9 darter on tv - that's another record Taylor will never have as Shaun Greatbatch hit one live on Dutch tv 6 months earlier lol |

Against Priestly too! There really is a wealth of information inside those old pages. Trying to pass along the good stuff to all my darting friends. |

| Incorrect by all!!
If you read the article it clearly states that after his two 180s he hit T20, T19 T12, in which case he bust the 141 and would hav needed at least another 3 darts, and therefore would have been a 12 darter at best!
LOL!!!!! |

| I found in dartsdatabase that he had thrown a 9 darter in 1992. I kept upping the year till I found where he appeared on the list.
JD, you should send them a message about it. |

| I just went in darts database again and now I dont find Taylor back in 1992. I must be going bonkers or something. May need to get my glasses checked and eyes tested again. It may have been 2002 that I used last night. |
