Phil Taylor is celebrating hiting the first televised PDC 9 Darter 10 years ago today.

the number being hit now just shows how much the game has improved but throughout the decade Taylor has kept himself at the top. Its a testiment to the man and how hard he works. Wether you like him or not as a person you have to respect him as a player.

I dont think any one can deny that it is Taylor alone that has made the level of skill increase in the game, he has put the hard work and dedication in to constantly better himself and raise his game to new levels. The others have saw what it takes to get that good and I think thats why we see so many 9 darters now.

there is no doubt that the opposition have closed the gap over the last few years but just when you think taylors finished he raises the bar again. A real professional and credit to the sport. Darts wouldn't be where it is today without the power...hell, we mightn't be on here talking about darts if it wasn't for him ( well the younger of us anyway )

I think back then I was streaming the live score on the PDC site.

Actually did get to watch it later that day on Directv though.

Now I sit at my computer or hook the gf's laptop up to the big screen and watch a HD stream for free,

live as it happens.
