The best way to host an image is to first create a Photbucket account or Flickr account or similar image hosting account.
Photobucket is probably more user friendly for posting in forums but Flickr is better if you have lots of pics and like to organise them. Of course there is many others but I will just deal with these 2 for the sake of simplicity.

With Photobucket:
open your album with pics in:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]hover the mouse button over one of the pics and you will see this:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Click once on the box with the text next to Direct Link, when you click in the box it will briefly say "copied". It has copied the text to the PC's Clipboard.
Now go to the Post or thread in the forum and click the Image button:

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Right click in the black box next to the link icon, then click paste, then click ok.
It will paste some text in your post which is the link to the image. Click the Preview button to check if its worked.
Using Flickr, here is what to do:
First sign in to your Flickr Album. Locate the pic you wish to upload:
Click the pic then click the Share button:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Next click "Grab the HTML/BBCode" tab, and click the BBCode Radial(button), some text will be displayed, copy the text, then paste it into your post, no need to press any other buttons. Preview to check if its worked.
