I'm currently sat 9th in the Phil Taylor protege thing. Just found out that the Finals for the Top 64 is being held in Wolverhampton on the 16th September 2012. Bad news is I'll be on Holiday in Florida between 9th September and 23rd September 2012. Gutted!!!!

Uuuhhhh! That was the whoosh of air leaving my mouth from the gut punch of reading your post. That's some cruel fate man. Right in the middle of your vacation too. I don't know the reasons and details of your visit to my fair state. Sounds like you're committed to the trip above the darts opportunity though. I can't imagine they'd make any special accommodation for you. Sorry this is happening to you Chris.

It's our Family Holiday oche. With the last challenge being w/c 20th August, I'd automatically assumed that the Finals would be the week after, so around the 31st Aug/1st or 2nd Sept. which would have been the week before we left.

The fact that the 2nd set of challenges start w/c 27th Aug I wouldn't have thought that there would be that big a gap in one finishing and the Finals.

I'll just have to put my hopes and dreams on the 2nd lot of challenges and Qualifying through that one, although the 1st set was going to be the easiest route with only 64 Qualifiers to the Finals as they are talking about 256 Qualifiers for the 2nd set of challenges.

Strange that they would take 4x the number of qualifiers in the second challenge. At least you'll get another shot. You're sounding a bit more positive now that it's sunk in. Keep your head up. Not trying to get in your business, but out of curiosity, where are you going in Florida? Are you doing the theme parks circuit?

Yeh, staying on International Drive for the 2 weeks. Maybe we can arrange a little tourney if some of you Floridians are willing to travel my way. I know there's a least 2 pubs that had dartboards last time I was there 2 years ago. ;)
