| I know from past experience of doing reviews myself that they can take a while and uploading pictures etc can also take time.
I was just wondering if a template may be the way to go, like a short review of darts and products?
Something along the lines;
Product: Cost: Durability: Good Points: Bad Points: Rating /5: Value for Money /5:
Something simple so that within a couple of minutes with a copy and paste we can share our opinions of products and darts that we own, also members could ask any other questions about the items that they may have. A stock photo from Google or somewhere could be added if not by the reviewer by a Mod later.
So for instance;
Product: 23g Adrian Lewis Target Silica Darts Cost: £35 (Puredarts.com) Durability: Very robust, a great coating that really protects the tungsten dart. Good Points: Very well made darts from Target, the silica coating is very hard wearing and IMO a lot better than the gold and black titanium coating that Unicorn use. The darts are well balanced with a good 3/5 grip. Bad Points: Nothing really, as with most Target darts they come in the foam packaging meaning you have to provide your own wallet/ case. Rating /5: For me, a 5/5 You could possibly take .5 away for lack of case but I have plenty so didn't bother me. Value for Money: Again 5/5, very well made darts with a fantastic coating.
Could we have some member feedback if you think this template idea could be a worthwhile attempt to get some more reviews on the site? It just contains the important basic information and took me 1 minute to complete, also the option of Q&A after each review could be added to the short reviews.
Just a thought, what do the other members think, would you use it etc?
Cheers, Greg |

| I think that will work very well on the show us your darts threads, as a quick way of giving your opinion, would still like to see in depth reviews too. But I do like the template idea |

| I agree Grip, love the in depth reviews but they are time consuming and few and far between, the short reviews could be a quick and easy way of telling each-other about darts and darts equipment that we try out and more members may be happier to spend a few minutes filling a template out rather than a long winded review.
Plus these could be expanded to more in depth reviews via Q&A associated with the short reviews.
Regards, Greg |

| good suggestion. it's good starting point and if the reviewer is feeling extra motivated, he could expand the review. i appreciate reviews because it gives me a lot of inputs regarding the darts. |

| LOL Have no issues with the short format reviews, think its good if people want to do it that way, I have more in depth ones planned myself and your right they take time to set up. I fancy doing some video reviews too, but not done that before so may be a while to get the hang of that right. I think following a template will help a lot, and could be included in all forms of review as has been suggested, and if the reviewer wishes to expand with more detail at a later date then they can do so. Also would be good to have review updates, for example I loved the Gold Hammys when I first tried them, but after a while I went off them as I had to adjust my grip to get best use from them but could not maintain that adjustment. |
