Trident 180's Empty
PostSubject: Trident 180's   Trident 180's EmptySat Jun 09, 2012 12:31 pm

As you know I'm new to this sport and I need some help. I just put some trident 180's on my darts and I really like them. But for the life of me how do you keep them on the points. Every time I throw I pick at least one off the floor. Very annoying . Help with some ideas please.

What colour are you using? I haven't used them for a while but the only ones I ever had an issue with doing that were the red ones.

I think its because some points are a little thinner than others, I notice it now and then.

You could try Larrys tip and rough the inside of the cones a little, and maybe also the area of the point where the cones sit. Another way is maybe to add a coating of some sort around the same area to increase the thickness of the point a little, not sure on this as not tried it, maybe Tip-ex or a tiny dot of paint?

Grips spot on, some of the points are slightly thinner and this causes the tri-dent to be loose fitting.

A tiny bit of blue tac rolled under the cone could help and is easy to trim any excess off.

I have used them a bit, and I think they help saving my flights, but if they help grouping? That I dont know.

I have also experienced that some points are too thin for them, and come loose, but I have put some gripping wax on the points and the tridents sticks on great Smile

Cheerio from Sweden!

Got this tip from someone, possibly from here but I'm not certain. Put the Tridents into very hot water, take em out(don't burn your fingers, use the point to pick them up), dry them with a towel and slide them onto the point. As they cool off they shrink to fit the point (or at least I think thats the point).
