| how many do you hit when you have a 1/2 hour practice or how ever long your practise session is
my minimum goal is to hit 10 in that time but did my best this year so far of 24 in 2 hours
also like a minimum of 5 big finishes in my practice and wont quit till ive had a 90+ average against the computer best of 11
would like to hear other views on the magical 180

| Sometimes I hit a bunch of them and other days it seems like I'm hitting 177's or 174's a lot.
I had 3 the other day while shooting 50 darts at the 20.
Don't really keep track of them anymore. |

| Never really keep track anymore and rarely just pepper the 20 during practice. Fair play to ya though, I would be doing well to hit one or 2 on a good day when I'm throwing well. That's some standard your throwing lion, remember me when I'm in the crowd and your on the ally pally stage I can only dream of that standard atm but i keep tryin and hopefully one day it will come |

| Like others have said it depends on the day. Some days I hit so many 140's, others it's just Tons. I don't tend to just pepper the 20's as I have a wide range of routines I use and my days normally geared around how I played in the last match and concentrating on what I felt was weak from that.
I also tend to do more practice with a partner now as that adds a bit of stimulation and also recreates a match situation.
As far as 180's go, if I have 2 or 3 in a Session then I'm happy. |

| As long as I hit a couple I'm happy. Generally I don't take much note. I much prefer high finishes than maximums. Often in my practice I am focussing on things like doubles or areas I wish yo work on, so I'm not often just throwing at t20 |

Agreed Bov. There's nothing quite like hitting a massive finish. Doesn't matter if it's taken me 12 darts to get that out or 27. I just love 3 figure finishes. |

| I'm counting this year as I set myself a target of 400 which I should reach easily (currently on 333 lol), but if I hit 1 in a session I'm happy - I try and practise finishing and doubles more apart from about 15 minutes or so of playing 501. Did a 12 darter earlier that I was well chuffed with - 140,95,99,167 finish - I wish I could take that to matches as well lol. |

| Really awsome shooting. Hehe. I never just stand and shoot the 20s and barely play any 501. So 1 180/session im happy. Heh.
For how long have you guys been playing? |

| ive listened some pro's advice and with the standard of todays darts weather its PDC ,BDO, open comps or superleague your scoring has to be huge nowadays thats why i practise it alot
depending on what standard you are at a good practise game is you have to win a leg in 15 darts or under other wise you loose i sometimes go to 18 darts but what ever standard you are you can play this one and it will help |

| Lion, I would like to hear a little more on your technique and a better explanation on what you mean by the term "laying flat". Maybe a video would help. Anything to help my horrendous game. |

well i use a 25g barrel medium stems and a slim flight i hold the dart near the front of the barrel. the laying flat down part ummm simple way to explain it most peoples dart stand flight up like lewis , wade but mine lay straight in the board giving me more room in the treble mine land like barneys , pipe , taylor . it suits some people but not everyones if you get the first dart spot on the other two normally go well as well |

| I feel good if I hit one a month that I actually "earned." I've had two in a day twice now. Total lifetime is something like 40 or 50. I stopped counting since I'm just now actually finding "my" throw, it's kind of pointless as I know that if I manage to hit a 180, it's most often just a lucky miss that managed to get everything aligned right for that one throw and all I had to do was repeat the motion twice more. But it's still a miss in my book. A "happy accident" as the hippy painter Bob Ross used to say. I'm much happier when my first dart actually hits my target as I try to aim at an exact point in the board. Most of my 180's have been to the right or left or above my actual target by quite a bit, so while I'll take the points, the reality is I successfully missed my target three times and the misses just happened to be in the t20 bed. Yeah, I actually get chuffed when I hit that exact point on the board. An accidental 180... not so much any more. |

I print out sheets that score 60 on every throw and try to beat that, averages 24 darts per game and I`m winning around 50% of those games. I struggle with consistency something serious though. I`ll maybe do a 16 darter followed by a 32 then 18 darts following by a kazillion darts. If I ever hit a 9 darter then I`ll retire with immediate effect and take up bob sleighing or something. I do love Bobs 27 though. It and going round the board on doubles and adding up the total score of doubles hit. They are great practice games that stand you in good stead for matches. |
