| No, this is not a post about Dave chisnall, you all know my views on him and his talent for the game. No this a post about someone much closer to home. My daughter. She's 5 years old and often watches me practise, and making sure i know if i dont get all 3 'in the red'. So today i put my old board up for her, a few feet under mine, and gave her an old set to play with. She struggled at first but soon began to hit the board with ease. Really nice steady throw, natural. With a great follow through. Anyway after a while i left her to it, when she came running in to the front room, shouting 'daddy, daddy, i did it!' 'did what?' i enquired 'Got all 3 in the red daddy! Im better than you now!!' and off she ran again. I went to check and sure enough all 3 darts were planted firmly in the t20. I asked her to try again at which point she sniggered and told me she could only do it if i wasnt watching. Ahh. Nevermind if she did poke them in, shes always interested in playing with me, and watching what im doing. Who knows, give it a few years and she'll be there with the greats! |
