... and it sucks Working last night on the railway, rail trolley slid off back of the flat bed, instinct told me to grab it before it hurt someone or damaged something - grabbed it and strained the tendons or muscle in my forearm (throwing hand ). I wouldn't mind, after the event realized no-one was close enough to get hurt and nothing near enough to get damaged, so in hindsight I should have just left it to fall. Anyway, felt it seizing up almost right away, stayed till the end of the shift and drove home, 1 handed and in quite a bit of pain thinking a good sleep will sort it out but no, even worse now - no chance of throwing a dart (can barely life a can of booze ). So now covered it in deep heat cream, 2 paracetamol, and as it stands may have to ring in sick followed by a visit to the doc but worse than all that, can throw me darts I have major sympathy for anyone that through illness, injury or health issues cannot throw darts, I will only be out of action a short while and already its getting me down

I feel for ya man. Give your arm a gentle massage every couple of hours and if you can gently extend and retract your fingers once and hour or so to keep the muscle from stiffening to much. Stock up on water and proteins like chicken and egg whites. Proteins are great for muscle regeneration. It`ll speed up the healing process.

Hope it gets better soon - if it was me I'd give it some rest overnight and if it's still hurting tomorrow morning then I'd go to the quack

Cheers lads, been docs and news not too bad, still sore, strained a flexer or something, tendon that controls wrist movement rather than fingers, can do all finger exercise etc but advised to wear a support bandage from elbow to wrist to speed up recovery + rest. Work put me on light duties this week on nights, basically organizing the work rather than doing it so all is good, don't have to take time off. Doc said normally 4 weeks it will be good as new but to gradually get it working again, so back to the darts in a couple of weeks cheers

Could have been a lot worse if it had been the one for the fingers - good news you will be back in a couple of weeks
