Well tonite is the final night of Mon. night leagues. This is the league that my wife and son play on my team. We finished the season in 2nd place. Last week was week 1 of a 2 night finals, double elimination to determine the Champions. There are 2 teams left in the winners bracket and 4 teams left in the losers bracket. We are 1 of the teams in the winners brack. the other is the 1st place team. All through the season we beat them in the team games and lost most of our individuals. Well the end season tourney is all team games so hopefully this will serve us well!! I'm excited and would love to see us take them down as they have won for the past 5 years... It would make my son's year if we could and he could get his championship jacket that he so badly wants. Please wish us luck on taking down Goliath!!!

All the well wishing paid off!!! Thanks everyone!!
The night started off with me and the number 2 guy in the league playing the finals of the elite 8 singles tournament. Best 3 out 5 all 01 games for the championship. I jumped on him right off winning the 1st 2 games with 15 and 16 dart games. Lost the next 2 games with him throwing 17 and 18 darters with me sitting at my out. Down to the last game I start 140, 100, 100 and him with 100, 97,100 on to the end. I'm at 48 left him at 46 my throw. Single 16, 8 then bam! right in the middle of double 12 for the win!!
Then comes the team matches. 6 teams left. 2 in the winners bracket and 4 left in the losers bracket. Us (seeded #2) and the #1 seed (who have won the last 5 years and 5 out of the 6 of them were in the top 8 in the league) are in the winners bracket the winner of this match goes straight to the finals. Best 3 of 5 alternating 601,cricket,601..etc. We win this hard fought battle 3 games to 2 and knock them to the losers bracket. They win their game setting up a rematch in the finals. They have to beat us twice to win (we've been in this spot 2 years ago). They jump all over us winning the 1st match in 3 straight games thinking it was going to be a breeze to win it all. The next match I did a little stratagizing with our line-up to try and shake us up. I put myself in the 1st 3 games (1 person can only play a max of 3 games in 1 match) hoping we could either win in 3 or at least take 2 of them. We took 2 then my wife and another really good shot on our team and my son go up and just trounce them in the 4th game for the win!!!
