Dartboard rubber ring surrounds !

Why are they so expensive surely they are very cheap to produce so why are they around £30.00 for a rubber ring, this is something which which has always bugged me so can it be explained as i don't think a product like that should be more than £15.00.

I don't see many places which offer them much cheaper so perhaps they are expensive to produce but i doubt it, they are very good at what they do and i would guess sell in greater numbers if the price was lower.

Red dragon do NPQ ones for £15. Choice of colour. Not bad but would be interesting to see the faults

i paid 30 with shipping the US. Shipping alone was 14 so you should be able to find them much cheaper

With any dartboard, you get it for £5 basically with their offer now.
Buy a dartboard and £10 off any surround.

I don't want a dartboard this is about the costs of the rubber ring surrounds and why they are so expensive.

same reason darts are so expensive, people have to make money

Because the £15 ones have failed their quality test so could be cracked or have other cosmetic wear.

oh misunderstood you, no you can find brand new ones for that cost. I wasn't talking about defective ones

Some darts are expensive due to the huge amount of sponsorship deals they pay the players and dose not always have anything to do with the manufacturing costs.

definitely a killer margin for sure which we all know whom this is Unicorn and Target are the two that spring to mind.

Had a quick look around on a few UK websites and £27.00 excluding delivery is the best price ive found however as yet i haven't found out why they are expensive lol.

Well i would think one of the darts forums like this should have some made branded with the forum name and website address wow watch the forum take off and its free advertising.

I think a manufacture could be found to produce them in for say £10.00 each and sell for £15.00 or a bit less and watch the forum numbers explode lol.

Cheapest I've found in Sweden is almost £50.

It really sux. I will make my own someday. But until them I just have to hit the board:)

I bought one of the so called sub standard ones as they were half the price and it is fine. The only reason they are sub standard is that sometomes they get air bubbles in the mold so on the back you can see some bubble holes. The front looks exactly the same as a normal one and mine works fine so don't be afraid to buy one after all they are only for athetical reasons cos none of us miss the board do we!!!!

I got a RD NPQ surround, the one Big Gun has looks better than mine, but I was still happy enough with mine. It had some wrinkles on the surface but that was ok to me as its full of holes now. Very Happy
