Sadly I just have the points. My custom soft tip darts haven't arrived yet Sad
Very nice product though. I like the fact that they came with the o rings already on there.
They should for $26! Can't wait to test it out.

Darts Warehouse has some aluminum ones pretty cheap. Jimbo uses them I think. Same shape and cheaper.

PostSubject: Re: Fit Titanium Conversion Points   Fit Titanium Conversion Points EmptySun Dec 30, 2012 10:02 pm

In October, 2011, World Darts Federation pronounced on the validity of the use of the ceramic points, said " Japanese points ", in competition. it proceeded to the modification of one of articles of its regulation of set and management of the competitions, by adding the mention that every dart consists of one metallic point

The use of the ceramic points, said " Japanese points " is thus strictly forbidden there compétition.
We can play with these conversion points or not??

According to PDC/BDO rules... Yes.

These aren't ceramic.

From the DRA official rule book...

5.1 Players shall provide their own darts which shall not exceed an overall maximum
length of 30.5 cms (12ins) nor weigh more than 50 grams. Each dart shall consist of a
needle shaped point which shall be fixed to a barrel. At the rear of the barrel shall be
an attached flighted stem which may consist of up to a maximum of three separate
pieces (namely any combination of; a flight, a flight securing device and a stem).

What is a ceramic point and where are they sold?

I've personally never seen one or heard of one.

I think he meant plastic tip? I dunno

A WDF rule? I was not aware of this. Thanks.

I don't see the value of the rule. The conversion tip provides no unfair advantage, it is not a safety hazard, and it does not ruin the boards. What caused the WDF to create this rule?

Beautiful points. Not as light as I thought they'd be though. What is the length (in MM) from the tip without the threads?

They are all around awesome. Very light.I bought the 25mm ones and they are a bit short for me. I currently have the points listed on Ebay and I'll be buying the 28mm shortly.

Like you, weight was always the big issue for me. 99% of conversion points throw the balance of a dart WAY off.

These DO NOT. They are what I've always been looking for. Great product.

I have been using the conversion points from darts warehouse for over 6 months now and I can not fault them. I dont notice any balance issues. My dart flies the same if it has a soft tip point in it and also flies the same if I use 1 of my other steel tip sets.

I can throw my dart holding it up the front, in the middle or at the back.

I'd like to see the aluminum ones on a scale Jimbo.

They must be right around a gram.

Aluminum is lighter than titanium but it all depends on how they are made.

I decided that the 25mm points were just too short for me. Sold those to Mac for 1/2 price and used that $$ to buy the 28mm ones. I'm am 100% happy with them now. Except for the price, this is a perfect product. Eliminates ALL the previous problems with conversion points. They used to be too long, too heavy, and throw off the balance of the dart. These do NONE of that. A perfect all around product.

Not sure why the stainless costs more than the titanium. Wonder what the weight is?
