Bob's 27 is a great little practice routine I've been using for the last few weeks. It was devised by Bob Anderson and concentrates on Doubles accuracy.

You can keep a note of the running score on paper, in your head, or if you have a laptop handy DartPro handles it nicely with it's usual stats and graphs to help you identify the doubles you have the most trouble with.

You start off with 27 points and go round the board throwing three darts at each double from 1 to 20 in sequence, finishing on the Bull. Every double you hit earns you the double's score and is added to your total, but missing a double with all three darts means you must subtract a single double from the total. Once you're down to zero or less the game is over."

So its Bob's 27, a great practice routine IMO, get hitting those doubles!
*Scoring will either be your total points if you get to the bullseye, or if not post the double you were zeroed on.
Just post either your total points ie: 100 or the double ie: D16.
Post your high scores and someone will update the leader board.
As usual the highest score wins, the winner gets a badge for their profile and also chooses next weeks challenge.

Ok had a quick couple of games. I will start the bidding at 193 (Stupid Bull) Evil or Very Mad

Not throwing too well today but had a go anyway, zeroed out on D15.

Have got round with some good 100+ scores playing this before so know I can do better saucepot

If I have done this right I just scored 406 having just missed 3 at the bull as I was on 456. It can really increase your score past the d10 as I hit 3 x D18 2 x D17 2x D19 1 x D20 which is 292 points alone. I even missed D16 which is a travesty.

Hope this is right and will have a few more goes at this.

I think doubles are my weak point. Although I feel I have no problem hitting them in a game of 501, but having one of the highest ranks over on Sewa, I also have a crappy score of this game compared to others Sad

if your score is an even number, you've added it up wrong

That even number thing would make sense looking back at the game I wrote down as they are all odd the whole way through. Hence me writing it down the second time so my 1st score must have been 405 or 407 but it doesn't matter now cos this second one beat it. I will go for topping the 500 mark over the next few days and see how I go. does anyone know the highest score on this if you have done it before?

The highest I've ever gotten was 615 scored 500+ quite a few times but lately for some reason I cant get to 500.. and I've been playing really well lately to just dont understand it?

Something to go by.... If you successfully hit 1 of each number your score will be 497.

Hit 2 of each number and your score will be 967. Shocked

I played this twice today and I was confident having beat a few PB's today.

1st attempt I was on 49 when going for bull and missed [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

2nd attempt I was on 259 heading into tops but missed it and the bull so scored 169. Could of done better but there's always tomorrow Smile

Played this for an hour tonight. Best I could manage was a 427. Missed the bull.

after lotsa games of not finishing I thought to myself one last try and started to hit those higher doubles sometimes twice for a score of 205.

one of those where the hell did that come from game's Smile

Had a go and got round with a score of 191...not great but it shows im getting some form of consistancy back after my slump...hopefully up it before the close....DartPro is handy for scoring it aswell!!

Cracked it 511 I knew I could crack that 500 mark I am well pleased with that so will leave it as the score to beat.

just hit 331.

2 bulls added some much needed gloss to the score
