| Stand tall on the dart line! Never back down. Regardless of how you’re throwing, never approach the line with defeat on your mind. If you are already thinking negative thoughts chances are you will fulfill those thoughts. Always remember every dart is a new dart. Your three darts are completely independent of each other so keep pushing yourself with every throw. citation http://www.nicedarts.com/get_out_of_a_slump.html |

The same attitude is actually a good one to have as a goal tender. |

Exactly Grip, a negative attitude equals negative results. |

| This truly is great advice. If you tell yourself you will or probably will miss you are more than likely going to. If you approach the line with the attitude of "I've got this" then you increase your success rate drastically. |

| This is very true! I've won several matches while far behind. Keep positive and keep at it. |

I have done this myself numerous times. I could be 300 behind with my opponent on a double, but I refuse to think I've lost this leg, cos he still has to hit a double. |

| I had this to happen to me two weeks running in DIDO 301. I'm usually in straight away but as would have it I got in on me 7th or 8th dart. It happens to us all (at least me here and there) to make along story short he was on 22 and I was on 117, took it out and he was just stunned to the max and give credit to him and his team mates a rousing cheer was given me by them and my own mates. Last night a similar scenario with him leading all the way and on 32 me 90 but hit triple 18 double 18 for the out. This team however was sullen about it but again my mates a big cheer. So never give up I say. Side note is I have to get in sooner because its gonna get me if I don't sooner or later. |

I find that my team, myself especially, struggles with this one point. I only have two guys, Mac being one, that don't exhibit this issue. Cheers to the come back victories though. I have been on both sides of that scenario where I didn't get my double in until they were working their double out and vice-versa. That's the beautiful part about this game. For the most part, nothing is for certain and it is never over until that last dart is thrown. |

| Absolutely, I've come from far behind when guys have got stuck on D1, or I suddenly got Simon Whitlocks' finishing skill. |

| Perfect example with Phil Taylor this past weekend. Dead and buried, down 9 legs to 5 in a race to 10. Hamilton averaging close to 100. Looking at the game realistically there is very little chance of winning. But Phil kept on plugging away and ended up winning. Although I've been cheering against him these last few months, he put on a display that reminded us ALL why he is a 15 time world champion. Never give up. |
