| Good step by step mate. When I used to do it that way I used a washer over the head of the pop rivet gum to stop any marking of the nose. As for putting the new point in I used to start the barrel on the back end of the point and tap a block of wood against the back to get the point started and then gentle tap rader with a tack hammer but stopping every tap to measure the point (as I knew the depth of the bore in the barrel) With the way the darts are made now I suggest to anyone to purchase a Re-pointing tool the same as this http://www.a180.co.uk/shop/product.php?xProd=1404&xSec=191 its worth it for peace of mind & you can get spare blocks and allen keys when needed Sorry to have high jacked your thread |

| Excellent post Danny, have a plus rep from me!
The Storm points are quite a tight fit, I used the A180 tool which is great but was very hard on my hands when I fitted the Storm points into my Wagner darts, still did the job though.
But if you dont have a re-pointer the Riviet gun method looks like a very good alternative. |

| Great guide Danny, funnily enough I just fitted Storm points to my Target Lewis' this morning and was amazed how tight they were - considering they are Target points going into Target darts! I have the Unicorn Unitool so same removal as rivet gun - old points straight out (wont remove Storm points tho) but the way the Unitool 'screws' the new points in, well my hand is still aching 3 hours later! I think next time I will use the tapping with a hammer method you have desrcibed, looks a lot easier and same result.
On this note, is there a way to remove Storm points without having the Trulon repointer?
Cheers, Greg |

| Good question really, I have not tried to remove any storm points so would be interested in hearing from anyone who has, they are tight fitting though. |

| Certainly can Matt: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]First tried them with Diamond point's, but they wear smooth really quickly so thought I would try the Storm points, so far so good. Regards, Greg |
