| Thanks Jamie, I think I seen a similar one with pics of the flights, I wonder how they can measure the surface area so accurately? |

| yeah dunno, they only way i can think of is perhaps outline the flights on graph paper and scan and maybe there is a program that could work it out ???? |

Good idea, maybe we should do something similar and people can put there own flights in from various suppliers, might be interesting to see if they follow similar sizes. |

Thanks for the link!! Great reference point. Whoever did the math on the surface areas of the flights had waaay too much time on their hands |

Found this on dartwarehouse's website, hope it can be useful: Standard gives maximum leverage to the flight mechanism because of its larger area. Kite has a smaller area, thus giving the dart faster flying speed. Teardrop allows maximum lift from a small flight and tends to keep the tail of the dart down. Slim is designed for the fast-flying dart and allows the tail to stay low. Lantern is very similar to the kite design but slightly more back heavy trajectory. No.6 Shape in between Kite and Standard |
