Yeah I suppose, but then it could be a risk making darts designed by customers to sell for retail. I think it was a great idea by them, would be nice if other companies had a similar competition.

Yeah, Martyns darts look great! I've got them lined up for my next order from Dartswarehouse. I like the shark grip on the rear of the barrel. I designed the other set with he really aggressive rear grip. I have really dry hands in winter months and a really light grip. Unable to use chalk and a dislike of waxes and powders meant I had no grip. Thus my design with deep, widely spaces grooves at the rear. Chuffed to bits with how they turned out, very close to my submitted design. And they throw great being slightly front weighted. Ended my 2012 season with a finals win and am off to a flying start with them this season.

The darts sent to me as my prize had the harpoon points installed as I had originally designed, but were not golden... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The version being sold by Dartswarehouse is golden, but features standard points... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And here is one of the other winners, Raymond Smith's design reminds me of Dennis Priestley's darts but more defined and the nose taper seems to have been changed to give more room on the treble?? Interesting dart, but I find it difficult to throw consistently as I don't normally throw from the front of the barrel. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I seen these the other day and was intrigued by the Martyns. Anybody else throw these? I might have to invest in some.
