How do you all aim at the target that you are going for? I know a few people tend to use their knuckles and line up that way. I personally try to aim the dart point tip at where I want the darts to go! There has to other different strategies! What's your?

In darts, missing a target or lack of consistency usually has nothing to do with aiming. It has to do with poor dart control.

Unless you 'aim' at the wrong out combination in x01 or 'aim' at the wrong number in Cricket, most of the time 'aiming' is not a factor.

Sometimes 'aiming' does come into play...like squeezing a 3rd dart into a blocked triple. For me, this type of aiming is a mental playback of what I'm about to do and how to do it properly. It could be as simple as...go for LH side, same stroke, float over top. It is a subconscious thought, rather than a deliberate and conscious thought and it happens in a split second.

I burn a hole in my target with my eyes.

My eyes never leave my target once I am ready to throw.

I'm new here but I'll share mine.

Like Jimbo says I burn a hole through the target and never take my eyes off it. But as a golfer I'm huge into body alignment, so as I walk up to the line I draw a line straight down from target to my toe and align there, then I rotate my foot and put my heel on the spot that I had my toe before, line up and fire. I also have a subconscious way of using my elbow as height alignment, being a pitcher in baseball and QB in Football (American Football for you Europeans clink glasses

Thats the best I can explain it.

In agreement with the last two posts, my focus is entirely on the target and not in the dart in my hand.

I do see the dart and my hand as a blurry shape within my field of vision and before my throw I will align the dart in a certain way with respect to the target. But this is less for aiming purposes and more to make sure I get a consistent starting point for each throw.
