Well, first game back yesterday after having 2 weeks rest due to tearing my Rotator Cuff Muscle. Yes, I should have waited longer but it was killing me not playing darts so I took the risk.

It was an important game us 2nd v them 3rd, both on the same Points and we're 4 Points behind the Leaders with a game in hand, so a Win is a must if we are to have any chance of Winning the League.

I'm in the 3rd doubles and we are already 2-0 down from the 1st 2 doubles. I've been there early practicing lightly on and off for about an hour so as not to over do it. My throw goes 24 and 24, both shots have all 3 darts pressing up to the T20 but just the wrong sides of the wires, then BOOM - 180. Pick the darts out, turn round ready for my next throw thinking don't get carried away. Next throw 140 and I thought the 3rd dart was in as well. Follow that with a 60 and now I'm feeling good, then BOOM - another 180!! That's 560 Points in just 4 throws and we go on to Win the Leg easily. We take the 2 Trebles and I score another 3 Tons in my Leg and we're 3-2 up going into Singles. We share those 3-3 for a nice 6-5 Win.

In my Singles I score another 140 and 2 Tons so on the night = 2 x 180's, 2 x 140'x and 5 Tons in 3 Legs. More than happy with that and thinking maybe I should take a break more often.

I'm leaving tonight and Friday's game out this week, so just the one night this week.

I've got my Singles in the Monday night League next week so will see how it goes after that.

I damaged the tendons in me forearm in July last year, took 2 weeks out and I think I went back throwing darts too early, I have never felt the same since

I know the feeling of desperation to get back on the board, its a killer - before I did the damage I never had any pain or cramps, now, sometimes, particularly when its cold, after about 30mins - 1 hour of throwing I get stiffness in my arm and at its worst my hand closes up like a claw!

Not 100% down to going back throwing darts too soon as I went back to work after a week and a culmination of driving, lifting, typing and writing will have all contributed to me not allowing it to fully heal.

Or it could just be old age I guess

Just an update on this. I've now left the Friday team for the rest of the Season (they have 10 players so got enough to get by without me) although I have said if they are short to the point were they haven't got enough players to give me a shout.

Our Monday League as entered the Cup phase so we haven't been playing in those.

My Singles went really well. Got a guy called Flynn Jones who at one stage held the most Caps for the Devon County side and is still in the Top 10 now I believe. Played really well as far as I'm concerned, started the 1st leg with 100, 140, 60, 85, 100 and yet he came back with a 140, 135, 135. 2nd leg I started 80, 80, 85, 85, 81, 100 and I was 200 behind!! He beat me 2-0 with a 28 and a 29 dart Leg at 1001 and I was down to a Finish both Legs, just didn't get a shot at them. The 2nd Leg I hit a 137 to leave myself Tops and he took out a 120. He's a cracking player.

I've only played 4 matches in the last 3 to 4 weeks. 2 on a Monday and 2 on a Tuesday. We had a vital match in the Monday League with us 2nd and them 3rd and Won 6-5 with me hitting 2 x 180's in the Doubles.

My Shoulder in itself is feeling a lot better and I feel not playing as much as really improved my game. I've been more focused and even throwing a little bit slower and a bit smoother which seems to sit well with the cuff muscle.

I've decided to cut down to just 1 League next Season which will probably be our Monday Money League so at least I have some competition to play against.
