Are those practice boards by Nodor and Winmau really worth buying?

Personally I don't think so. For me it would be a knock in confidence not hitting as many trebles and doubles. I wouldn't be investing in one anyway.

Oh and welcome to Darts Nutz welcome

they are also both round wire boards as far as i'm aware . lots of bounce outs. i like the idea of getting on , maybe just to use half the week then back to the blade 4 . the unicorn hd and i believe bulls advantage are more expensive but have better spiders

If you are talking about pro trainer boards, then I have 2 thoughts on these.

1. If you are a high level player, then these boards are great for getting you to focus on your grouping.

2. If you are just an average pub player, then I think you can get disappointed by not hitting the triple and double very often.

I put myself in the 2nd category and I find that confidence plays a big part in my game. So the more I hit my target, the more I will keep hitting it. That is why I have been playing on my soft tip board a lot recently.

good advice jimbo. i was thinking of going the other way with this and buying one of those dynasty wireless boards with soft tip size trebles to increase confidence , keep telling myself that i'd be cheating though lol

They've got to help accuracy and the more determined you are to hit the treble, the more accurate you'll be Smile
