| Will never get past semi-finals in the future IMO- His mechanics is jerky at best- And too many good players in his way.
2008: 2nd Round (lost to Adrian Lewis 2–4) 2009: 3rd Round (lost to James Wade 0–4) 2010: 2nd Round (lost to Kevin Painter 3–4) 2011: Quarter-Finals (lost to Adrian Lewis 2–5) 2012: 2nd Round (lost to Andy Hamilton 3–4) 2013: 3rd Round (lost to James Wade 0–4)

| i think he was fortunate to make it this far. he choked way to many times this last match. It could have easily been 2-2 in sets there |

| He's a good enough player. I think he had a hard time against Wade because of the pace. Wade's not the fastest player. Takes his time getting to the oche. |

| not much of a topic to be fair i don't think as i could list a number of players who wont ever win a world title but thats not to say they aint very very good players but as for chocking im not thinking he chokes he is a class player.
The problem i see is his style is so fast one game hes is sublime the next a donkey far too much can go wrong with that throw across a lengthy tournament. |

| i don't believe anyone from the topic 16 can win it though thats my point i be live there are 5-7 players only who can win it year on year.
Don't think anyone out of the top 7 can win it without checking the world rankings that is, perhaps in 12-24 months that may differ. I think i could list 7 players for every tv major and i would get it right just about every time at this minute in time. |

| It's going to be a different ball game when Taylor retires. |

| he has the same problem as a lot of players who are either too fast or have slightly weird throw styles, when they are on form they get into a rhythm which can overcome any of the inconsistencies with their throw. Once they are a little off though those inconsistencies seem more magnified than someone who has a better more straightforward and simple throw.
Of course it can affect anyone when their form is not there, but I think the less that can go wrong with a throw the better the chances of that player been consistent.
If Van Der Voort cant handle playing Wade at his pace then what chance as he against Pipe or Priestly?
Maybe he should slow his own game a little, but having said that he has managed to do very well all the same, so maybe its too late for him to change and if he did maybe he would play worse? |

| vvdv has no technique he just pitches the as fast and as hard as he can. I'd say he is the luckiest player in the world ie no class |

wow no class thats some opinion which is miles wrong Vincent is a classy player better than most on the tour but not top top drawer, if it was that easy then hey wind yourself up bud. |

| No.
He's a pure rhythm player. When 1 dart hits the target, so do the rest (ish). It's about tempo/pace, like a drummer.
When any dart misses it breaks his stride.
That doesn't work for championships without tremendous luck. Look at Jackpot. He's a rhythm player, but has had "jackpot" luck when it counts.
Maybe he's the type that finds the beat under pressure. vvdv isn't. He loses the metronome when pressed, which costs hims wins.
He might snake in a series and win a few titles. But he doesn't have craft, just talent.
See my signature for my thoughts about that. ;) |
