| I don't have any old darts other than the sets I used to play with 30 odd years ago. I'll dig one of those out and give this a go later - but can't see me getting close to 41 darts somehow lol. I'll probably use these ones - but with my John Part Cosmo's on - they are 22g old Unicorns, can't remember the name at the moment though. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Just had a go at this and it took 44 darts. It should have been a lot less though. With 23 left after 33 darts, going for a single 3 I hit a 17 followed by 10 darts to hit the D3.
Included in the scoring darts were a very respectable drop in on the old T18, a couple of D19's and actually one throw all in the 20's and one all in the 19's. The rest were all sprayed around the board lol.
And the name I was given for the darts by the peeps at Unicorn was Jet Set from 1981. I'm not sure if that is correct as I think I bought them around 1978 so they may not even be Unicorns, but until I'm told otherwise I'll go with what they told me. |

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Nice one Mike, I most have a weak throw when I tried my darts barely reached! They do look like Jet set darts to me, but think they came out early 80's, but the barrels in your pic look longer and slightly different at the top?: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Didn't think they were Jet Sets and you look to have confirmed this - I asked the guys at Unicorn and that was what they came up with. They came out in 1981 whereas I'm sure I bought these around 1977/78 when I first started playing seriously.
Another thing that convinces me they aren't Jet Sets from the pic you have posted is that they don't come in 22g (which is what my darts are), only odd numbers.
I know there were loads of companies around in the 70's making darts that are now defunct - they are probably from one of those companies. I would have bought them in a shop in either Leyton or Leytonstone (can't remember which of the two shops, long since gone), and I believe Durro used to be around there somewhere, so they may even be Durro's.
I guess I'll never know unless someone on here can help. |

| I will check through some old darts world mags and see if I find anything, will post back when I have had chance to check, but the ones you have look slighty different so I don't think they are Jet Set but they have the same rings, I'm sure a lot of makers had similar darts then though.
And yes there were loads of smaller companies in the early tungsten days, wish I knew what happened to them all. |

| 35 for me I will post pick of the big fat brassy's I used maybe grip can tell me what they are. I did cheat though I did not use a training board like smarty McPants McInnis. Jee the extra distance throws you off, my darts were scraping the face of the board in a downward motion. Think Ill just lay the board on the ground 9 feet away next time. |

| I threw a few darts from approx 9 ft last night and OMG was it funny. My darts almost refused to go higher than the bull and I couldnt get them to go to the right side of the board.
19's may be the smart approach in this I think. lol |

| I'll see what I can come up with....it's been ages since I threw a brass dart!
Our league fun nights have a game when you throw your first dart from the line and then the next two from one foot behind and forward of the line respectively. Give it a go! It's a hoot. |
