| My wife and I would like to visit the UK, Ireland and Scotland this next summer. Beside the normal tourist attractions we would love to take in a professional dart tournament with the likes of chizzy, Phil Taylor , Barney ,etc. Can anyone recommend a large tournament venue, the location and who to contact for good tickets? Also, can anyone recommend some good dart pubs or other good dart venues? My only requirements is that they serve Murphy's and a board.
As time gets closer and we have an itenary in place I would like to meet some of you lift a few and pitch some darts.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. |

| I think those shops are not too far from each other so you should be able to do that easily enough.
I am sure there is lots of pubs with darts in, but its not like it was say 30 years ago when just about every pub had a team.
I dont belong to a team myself but I'm sure some on here know decent places to pay a visit, I know there is pubs locally to me that have darts, but they are quite rough areas so I dont think I would recommend a stranger to go in LOL! |

| So do you go to the games all week, or pick your spots? Also, as a traveler who after I win the lottery plans to spend a lot of time in your country watching major events, what can you recommend as far as hotels, tips on getting around etc etc? |

| Without knowing where you are going it's difficult to recommend any pubs with boards - but if you come to London I'd suggest the Porters Lodge near Monument Station - it has 8 boards so you are fairly sure to get a game.
Come down the second Tuesday or last Friday of the month and you can most likely get to enter an open competition there along with a few county players and maybe even a pro - Andy Fordham has been to at least one and Deta Hedman has been to a couple as well. Richie Howson who won a card at Q School at the start of the year also turns up when the tour allows. |
